Childhood Memories

One of my favorite childhood memories is going into the city (from Long Island or Brooklyn) and standing in line to see the Radio City Christmas Show.
It seemed colder back as a kid in the 60's, placing roasted chesnuts in our pockets to keep warm - though I never remember eating them, LOL. We would make a day of it, mom would shop and I got to look at the magnificent moving window displays in awe and intrigue. We would see "THE" tree and go ice skating at Rockefeller Center. These are still some of my most favorite things.
I also fondly remember Jones Beach, Lady Liberty, soft pretzels, pizza by the slice, deli style sandwiches, etc. My high school field trip in '73 to the top of the first tower...these and those lost lives ..... I will never forget!!! God bless N.Y.!
I wish ya'll a Merry Christmas and a Happy Hannukah!
