Christmas Fun

I Looooove visiting Manhattan at Christmas!

New York is a place where anything feels possible. The energy and charisma that surround everything is inspirational. In my opinion, this is especially true during the Christmas season.

Aside from the atmosphere, my other favorites are:

The ice skating rink at Bryant Park. Now, I do not skate all that well. But it's free if you have your own skates. Despite the fact that I had some pretty amusing falls, I had a great time and enjoyed watching everybody else as much as skating. The shops are pretty interesting too. One shop had a life sized Darth Vader built out of nuts and bolts. They have more practical stuff too. It’s a fun place to go, if only to look.

The Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes. I took my mom. She grew up singing in choirs and likes to watch dancers. I looked over at her after the show and she literally had tears running down her face. Sometimes when something is so good, it evokes strong emotions.

That is all I have to offer. I can't wait until next time. Does anybody have any advice on the Nutcracker? Is it worth it? I'm thinking that is on the agenda for the next time I go.
