New Year's Eve

by Ellen
(Georgia)

Just returned from New Year's Eve in NYC. Had the best time staying in the Central Park/Columbus Circle area. We skipped the crowds in Times Square in favor of the awesome midnight fireworks in Central Park. They were beautiful and reflected off the buildings surrounding the park.

Also recommend the 911 Memorial in Lower Manhattan; go in the evening when the light is fading and the memorial lights up. Hint: go online to get your passes first.
